Choose Your Program

Cosmetology classes are offered on both a full-time and part-time basis. In just seven and a half months, you can complete the full-time track by going to school five days a week. With classes running from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, you can efficiently complete your required 1,000 hours. If this schedule does not work for you, you can opt to do it part-time, which will take you 15 months. Instead of five days a week, you will be in school Monday-Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Work with Your Schedule

Although there are probably some aspects of your schedule that are not easy to change, work with what you can. If you currently work during the day, for example, see if you can take some shifts at night and on weekends to allow you to go to school. Leave the kids at home with your spouse after they fall asleep to attend part-time classes. However you can do it, find a way to balance your schedule.
