Here is a More In Depth Look at How Capri Cosmetology Learning Centers Helped to Raise Awareness About Breast Cancer!

Throughout the week of October 17-21, 2011, Capri Cosmetology Learning Centers sold pink feathered hair extensions to clients and students for $5 per extension.  All proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society.  Our Nanuet, NY location raised $896.20 and our Newburgh, NY location raised $725.90. It was a joyful experience for Capri to have been able to help raise awareness and funds for such a wonderful cause.

The pink ribbon has become a powerful symbol to increase awareness about breast cancer.  Students, staff and clients at Capri were able to wear a pink ribbon pin, and show their support,  by leaving a small donation.  The American Cancer Society says, “during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and throughout  the year, people wear pink ribbons  to honor survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and to support the progress they are making together to defeat breast cancer.”
